Wine Fondue - 2022 Coast Runner Grenache Blanc

Tis the season for family and friends gatherings and it’s always fun to find appetizers to share with them during these festive times. This recipe takes us back in time and hopefully you have that fondue pot in the back of your closet to bring out and reminisce.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of butter

  • 1 cup of flour

  • 4 cups of milk

  • 2 cups of GCW Coast Runner Grenache Blanc or your favorite dry white wine

  • 1 tsps of chicken bouillon

  • 16 oz of shredded gruyere cheese or your preferred cheese

Instructions:

  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan and stir in the flour with a whisk

  2. Cook for a few minutes over low heat and then add in the milk, bouillon and the wine

  3. Stir the mixture until thickens

  4. Stir the cheese until melted and smooth

  5. Transfer to the fondue pot to keep warm

  6. Serve with slices of french bread and pieces of preferred vegatable
